Superior Veneer & Plywood was founded in 2004 by Matt Gilland to meet the growing demands of speciality millworks, store fixture manufacturers, custom furniture makers, and other speciality veneer users for premium domestic and exotic backed wood veneers. From the beginning, Superior has focused on premium quality veneers in both domestic, exotic, burls, crotches, and Artisan Thick 1/16” veneers while offering backing choices and sizes not commonly found. These founding traditions continue today and drive Superior into the future.
Superior’s matching of local craftsman, fine machinery, quality veneers and backings, and focus on quality over quantity is what has made us a favorite supplier of many. In addition, our quick turn-around for custom made sheets and panels adds to our reputation.
Superior Veneer & Plywood is located in New Albany, Indiana at the heart of the veneer industry. This proximity to so many great veneer mills allows us the opportunity to hand select veneers as needed. Whether it is for a common premium domestic veneer, difficult to find domestic or exotic, we have a unique advantage finding what a customer desires.
Our line of Artisan Thick 1/16” veneer continues to grow and has become a standout item for customer’s requiring a thicker veneer face. This product line was added in 2014 and continues Superior Veneer & Plywood’s commitment to custom, made to order products.
